[00:00:00] Speaker A: Foreign.
Hey, this is Lacey with smartcast, and I'm here today with our favorite Edwin from Ample our post sales support. He is a guru with marketing and gets our staff super excited about talking to our patients about everything that we have from AMP. And then we have Dr. Jody, of course, our medical director here at Smart Skin, and she has been doing some incredible lasers here, getting ready for the winter season. And we're going to talk to you guys about lasers and our nuvoderm laser from AMP and the MAX settings and then this laser and skin of color as well.
[00:00:55] Speaker B: That sounds exciting.
[00:00:56] Speaker A: Yay. Yay. So you guys treated my mom last week with the nuva Max settings, which is the fully ablative.
So talk me through a little bit about what you did. Who's a candidate for it, her downtime, and then the results that she should expect once she's fully healed. Yeah.
[00:01:15] Speaker C: So we use really aggressive advanced settings on her customized.
We did full stamping on her face, which really helped with retraction and lifting and tightening.
And then we did three passes with those same settings on her face, her neck, her chest, and her hands.
So what that's going to do is really just help resurface everything, kind of like a CO2 laser would do. Her downtime will probably be like, seven to 14 days.
She's at day nine today, and it's. Everything's starting to kind of crust and flake off, and it's some of the new skin that's popping up underneath looks just beautiful and brand new. Brand new. Like a baby's butt.
[00:02:08] Speaker A: So she's very excited. I know she's had, obviously, a lot of lasers over the years, and she was really impressed with the even coverage that she was able to see and that there were no spots, there was nothing missed. Everything was completely just even across the face. And she's super excited. She originally had some scarring from where she fell through a glass door when she was younger, and so that's always been something that's concerned her. And then she, of course, got into this industry because she suffered from cystic acne after she had a miscarriage before she got pregnant with me. So she's in this industry today because of those.
And so doing these lasers have been something that she's been able to do to overcome some of those. And so I know she's really excited about the outcome from this laser. So, Edwin, tell me the difference. You know, a lot of people are very familiar with CO2 Erbium, but this is a helium laser. So tell me what's different about helium versus CO2 and erbium.
[00:03:10] Speaker B: Yeah. So Thuleum versus CO2.
Basically, when I fire that CO2 laser, right. Of course it's going to be very aggressive, but it's also looking for some reds and browns. So CO2 and thulium are actually one of the most study wavelengths in all of lasers. Right. And so with thuleum, what I'm doing is I am just going after the moisture in the tissue. Right. Dehydrating that tissue, which then, of course, provides tightening and that lifting and, of course, that sloughing of pigment. So, you know, when it comes to CO2 versus Thylum, I'm going to go with thuleum every time. Right. It's going to be more safe. Right. For all Fitzpatricks. You know, I'm a Fitzpatrick 6. Right. And so it's. I'm really excited about NuViderm, and I get excited because I actually can get a treatment, Right. That can address my hyperpigmentation that I, of course, corrected with nuviderm, or, you know, I can do some lifting and tightening with me. And I can also get an aggressive treatment with nuoderm because thulium is safe. It's very safe. Right.
So the difference between CO2 and, you know, Thuleum has just. Honestly, just NuViderm is a game changer. Right. It is definitely making its mark in the market.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: Yeah. I love how deep you're able to get to without creating that much thermal injury to the skin.
[00:04:22] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:04:23] Speaker A: So, yeah, we're really excited about it. We also treated a Fitzpatrick 6 this week, too, that we are really thrilled with his progress so far. So we're really excited to see kind of tracking that along the way and see how that turns out.
We're just so appreciative of the fact that we can offer something to all Fitzpatrick skin types because, you know, there's just such a limited amount of things that you can do for people with skin of color for, you know, sun damage and hyperpigmentation or even getting into, like, those, like, the hair and everything that we're able to do with this.
[00:05:01] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:05:01] Speaker A: You know, great.
[00:05:02] Speaker B: One thing that I, you know, I find myself educating as a black man in the black community.
I find myself educating our community in the sense of we should be wearing sunscreen. Right. And because we're not wearing sunscreen, of course, we of course get sun damage too. Right. I didn't know that until after I had my first nooderm. Right.
[00:05:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:05:21] Speaker B: One thing about nuviderm, when you get a treatment of and you start healing. You have that beautiful skin come underneath. You're going to have that new baby skin every time. So definitely discover that. Hey, Edwin, you did have some sun damage, right? You did have some texture issues, Right.
And so I will say that NuviDerm is that treatment for every Fitzpatrick. So whether you, of course, are suffering or wanting to address some resurfacing for the skin, whether you're wanting to, of course, address some pigmentation concerns. Right. Or if you're having some hair loss. Right. Let's talk about hair loss with Nuvideau.
Amazing results, right. When we pair it with our plant based exosome derived. Right.
But also works just by itself. Right. Creating those micro channels in the scalp. Right.
To where we can of course, fine tune the soil, if you will, of that scalp. Are you guys seeing great results with hair restoration with Nuviderm 2?
[00:06:13] Speaker A: We are. We're actually treating my stepdad right now as well. He's been going and getting his aqua firm treatments with the derive. He's using the derive at home and then he comes here for his Neba derm. But soon we'll have the nubaderm at our Ross Bridge location as well. So he'll be able to go there to do his nuviderm treatments.
[00:06:31] Speaker B: That's exciting.
[00:06:31] Speaker A: That's exciting. We are waiting to close on our documents any day now for our nuviderm laser. That's going to be at Ross Bridge.
[00:06:40] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:06:41] Speaker A: And then also the pleduo will be coming here to our homewood location. So tell me a little bit about that. What can we expect with the Pleduo?
[00:06:50] Speaker B: Listen, Plaiduo is just, it's. It's well versed in a lot of things. Right. So traditional.
Let's talk about the traditional argon or nitrogen plasma energy. Right. Traditionally when they launched, of course, plasma energy, it was just with nitrogen. Right.
And providing that resurfacing. When that came onto the market, it was like all the rave, right? Everyone wanted that treatment, but what we found was patients were coming in expecting a very light treatment and leaving looking like burn victims. And so that technology, they just did away with it. And so we decided that we wanted to bring it back because there's so much power behind that plasma energy. Right. And so when we brought it back and reintroduced introduce it to the industry, we also introduce it not just with nitrogen, but also with argon too. So argon gas has been used in the industry in wound healing for over decades. Right.
Really helping to speed that wound healing. Cascade. And so we wanted to be able to provide the argon side of the nitrogen because we wanted you guys to be able to do some combo therapy. We understand that one plus one equals a million when it comes to combo therapy. Right. And so that argon is going to help to speed up that healing cascade, but it's also going to help to address any bacteria that could be living on the skin, you know, any type of acne breakouts that, of course, patients are suffering from. We also understand that even something as simple as a cold sore, we're starting to see major improvement within 24 hours of those cold sores disappearing. Right. And so rosacea is another thing that, of course, that the argon side really helps to correct. Another thing too, if you guys have any, like topical serums, like xoe, for instance. Right. Our plant based stem cell, it's going to help to, of course, drive that XOE into the skin and help it permeate even more. Right. So the permeability of that ser becomes amplified, if you will. And then of course, the nitrogen side is going to, of course, provide some resurfacing too. So all over again, some skin tightening, correcting that pigmentation, correcting any fine lines and wrinkles. Right. Any skin laxity. Right.
Really providing that other side or another option for skin resurfacing. Right.
So you're getting some amazing things with Plaiduo Pro. And then also we can also do some vaginal health situations too.
[00:09:06] Speaker A: Oh, wow. I didn't even know that that was an option with that device. I was just really excited about the dermatology aspect of it for like eczema and perioral dermatitis and rosacea and things like that. Because my oldest suffers from perioral and my two younger ones both have eczema. So I was really just thrilled to know that that would be something that they could be treated with.
[00:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah. That argon side is going to, of course, help to really provide a solution for those patients. Right.
Really helping to help with that wound healing all over again, that cell turnover. Right.
So pla du. I'm really excited, you know, thank you for, first and foremost, always being ready to be first to market. Right. I think you, you always take an opportunity to bring something innovative into the practice to provide a solution for your patients. Right. And so I just love your heart for your patients. Right.
[00:09:58] Speaker A: Yes. Well, we want to have an option for everybody, for everything and at every price point.
So even if it's, you know, a lower energy at a lower cost, that's maybe going to Take them a little bit longer to get to their goal. We want to still have an option for them to be able to get there at some point.
So, I mean, it just really depends on do you want to walk, run, or sprint to your goal. And your budget, of course, goes along with that, because the technology can become very expensive for us to have and maintain and everything. But we want to make sure that we have something for everybody.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:10:31] Speaker A: So going back to the vaginal health, because, you know, we have the emsella, we have the MFIM360.
So how is this gonna pair with that for vaginal health?
[00:10:40] Speaker B: Yeah. So overall lubrication, and then, of course, some perfecting as far as tightening.
So that's external treatment. External treatment, yeah. Yeah. So of course, basically correcting the look of the aesthetics. The aesthetics down there for the girl.
[00:10:57] Speaker C: Okay, So I can see how this can pair with the Ozempic. Vagina Y.
Yeah.
[00:11:04] Speaker B: Definitely want to take care of the girls down there. I want to make sure they're all pretty. Right. So you definitely have a device that is able to do that for your patients, Right. That's a major insecurity, especially with the Ozempic right now, right?
[00:11:14] Speaker C: Oh, absolutely.
[00:11:15] Speaker B: Yeah. So a lot of patients are experiencing that skin laxity. So what better option to have than pla duo to help really tighten and refresh and rejuve the girl downstairs?
[00:11:25] Speaker A: Yes. Well, and Janice that's with us, she was telling us about the benefit of exosomes for lubrication as well.
[00:11:33] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:11:34] Speaker A: So listen, I didn't even know that was a thing. I was like, oh, my gosh. Not our girls, like, in the treatment room, trying to get everything taken care of.
[00:11:44] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. You know, exoe, of course, is going to communicate to really help, to, you know, help juice it up down there.
[00:11:52] Speaker A: Right? Yeah.
[00:11:53] Speaker B: And so love EXOE for that exoe. We're finding that EXOE can do a lot more than what we are, what we learned that it can do.
[00:12:02] Speaker A: I know. She was like, yeah, people have colds. They're just, like, drinking some. And I was like, oh, my God, No.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: Okay, let me speak to that. Okay, Let me speak.
[00:12:09] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:12:10] Speaker B: It's not cleared. Right.
Disclaimer here.
[00:12:13] Speaker A: She was like, off label.
[00:12:15] Speaker C: Off label.
[00:12:15] Speaker B: But I'll tell you what, I am a singer. I've been singing since I was a kid, and so I sing on Broadway, in Nashville.
[00:12:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:22] Speaker B: That's my little side thing I do outside of the aesthetics industry.
[00:12:25] Speaker A: Secret talents from Edwin.
[00:12:27] Speaker B: I know.
[00:12:27] Speaker A: Who knew?
[00:12:28] Speaker B: You heard it here first.
Oh, my gosh and so I was due to do a show, and I had no voice. I had major inflammation. I didn't have a voice. I had a sore throat. And I did. I heard about the rave of dropping a little. Few drops of exoe down the throat. And darling, let me tell you, I was able to sing that evening, so it reduced the inflammation.
And so, yeah, I'm one of those crazy patients that did that.
[00:12:52] Speaker C: That is amazing.
[00:12:53] Speaker A: That is really incredible.
[00:12:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:12:55] Speaker A: Yeah, I love that. Do you know Sage was in Nashville? He used to be a recording artist in Nashville for singers.
[00:13:02] Speaker C: What?
[00:13:03] Speaker A: Yeah. So if you. If you need a demo, I mean.
[00:13:05] Speaker B: Hey, Sage, I'm gonna call you.
[00:13:07] Speaker A: Sage can help you out.
[00:13:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:10] Speaker A: So the release of you guys announced your. Your new.
[00:13:16] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Now, Lacey, what can I do with you?
But yes. So there is something coming. There is something coming. If you. Look, pay attention to our Instagram. We have been counting down.
We have not announced it yet.
[00:13:31] Speaker A: When does it announce?
[00:13:33] Speaker B: I hear that she could be announcing anytime, especially on this upcoming Monday.
[00:13:36] Speaker A: Okay. Why did I think it was going to be announced this week?
[00:13:39] Speaker B: It was supposed to be announced this week, but of course, we wanted to give you guys a little more weight. Right. With some more anticipation here. Right. Keep it sweating a little bit.
[00:13:48] Speaker A: We'll keep our patients sweating them because it will be here at Smart Skin.
[00:13:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:53] Speaker A: So groundbreaking. You know her, you love her. And now she's got a facelift.
[00:13:57] Speaker B: A major facelift.
[00:13:58] Speaker A: She got a mommy makeover with AI Darling.
So we're very excited about that announcement because she will be making her debut here at Smart Skin as well.
[00:14:10] Speaker B: Listen, your patients, they're already comfortable now.
[00:14:13] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, right.
[00:14:14] Speaker B: For this treatment. But even more comfortable, right? I think this is.
[00:14:18] Speaker A: This is the game changer. Even more butter.
[00:14:23] Speaker B: That's right. That's right. That's right.
But I'm really excited for this new launch. I think that your patients are gonna love it. Right? I told you guys. Lacey's always bringing something in for you guys. She's innovative. She's first to market every time, right?
[00:14:36] Speaker A: We try to be.
[00:14:37] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:14:38] Speaker A: That's the goal.
[00:14:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: Yeah. So switching gears a little bit, can we talk about Derma prp? Because I am absolutely obsessed with Derma prp. I have not had ha filler in my face, aside from my lips, since Derma PRP has come into our practice.
[00:14:55] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness.
[00:14:56] Speaker A: Not that you can't layer them together, because you absolutely can. But I just struggle with a lot of inflammation personally. And so Derma PRP has been Incredible for me, especially for dark circles under my eyes. I've had hereditary dark circles my entire life. My children have them. Of course they're not getting Derma PRP quite yet, but.
[00:15:15] Speaker B: But what dark circles? I'm looking for them, but I don't.
[00:15:18] Speaker A: Have any anymore obviously, as you can see, thanks to Derma.
[00:15:22] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:15:22] Speaker A: And like we don't even do ha. Filler tear trough anymore at all because.
[00:15:26] Speaker C: Like this is just, it's a game changer. So I don't, I don't recommend it at all anymore.
[00:15:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:15:32] Speaker A: So she, I mean all she does is Derma PRP for tear troughs. And our inject, our other injectors do too. And it's just such a fabulous skin treatment.
[00:15:43] Speaker B: Yeah, it is. You know, you're really using your own platelet rich plasma. Right. And then of course with that autoglous gel, it's really amplifying those platelet, those platelets. And of course when you, you inject it underneath the skin, you're really providing your body's like, what is that substance? It's so yummy. Right. And it allows you to then start to use your own ingredients in your body to start building elastin and collagen and hyaluronic levels. And so I love this natural, all natural situation we have here for a filler.
[00:16:13] Speaker A: Right, agreed. So typically I'll do the 11ml kit unless I'm also treating stretch marks on my booty, which we do. And I've gotten great results from that. It's time for me to do it again. Then I'll use the 22ml kit because typically I'm just doing tear troughs. I've got a little bit of preauregular, pre auricular from where I get toxin in my, from clenching. And then we'll put some in my lips just for the pretty pink rejuvenation.
And then aside from that, I'll do the 22 and do some in my stretch marks in my booty. But I'll do the treatment and then 45 days later I'll do it again. And that will last me about nine to 12 months. And then I do it again.
[00:16:56] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
[00:16:57] Speaker A: Just a single visit to maintain.
[00:16:58] Speaker B: Yeah. And your body loves it.
[00:17:00] Speaker A: My body is successful.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Liquid gold. I love seeing people injected into the hands to refine and rejuve the hands. Right. Make them more youthful. I love seeing people injected underneath the eyes. I also, you know, I hear that we can do a liquid bbl.
[00:17:16] Speaker A: We do and we can. Yes, yeah.
[00:17:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
And so a lot of the patients, they love that.
[00:17:21] Speaker A: We have some promotions coming up for our holiday open house special.
You heard it here first.
[00:17:26] Speaker B: Gonna get your liquid bbl.
[00:17:27] Speaker A: Yeah, I heard it here first.
It's just so good. Like, you're not gonna necessarily gonna get the volume projection liquid BBL from this, but it's gonna do wonders for tone, texture, elasticity, stretch marks, all of those things. And then you can even pair it with Radiesse Hyper Dilute. If you want some volume too. You just alternate those treatments. I mean, we heard some really great treatment recommendations at the AMP Owner Summit from Missy Gibbons and some of the other, you know, people that are doing all of these studies for you guys that have done tons and tons of them to give us that insight. So we're really excited to be able to pair those two together.
[00:18:07] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You know, here at amp, we believe that when you learn more, you earn more. Right. And so I love that when we have our educational events because you guys really get to hear all the different things that, you know, that other providers are doing in the industry that's really working for them, and you get to hear about their case studies and all those things. Right?
[00:18:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:18:25] Speaker B: So, yeah, definitely love the fact that we have that learning opportunity.
[00:18:29] Speaker A: Yes. I mean, they are all so collaborative, and I feel like everybody is so open to sharing their information with each other. I mean, it really is like one big family and we see each other and it's like, oh, my gosh, how are you? I haven't seen you in forever. I'm so excited. Like, what's going on?
And who are your sweet friends that won some awards this year with us?
They sat at our table last year.
[00:18:55] Speaker B: Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness. Ah, that's gonna kill me.
[00:18:59] Speaker A: Beautiful ladies. And then her husband was with them. He's got the blue, blue eyes.
[00:19:07] Speaker B: Oh, Secret aesthetics.
[00:19:08] Speaker A: Yes. Oh, my gosh. Yes.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: Secret aesthetics out of Orlando, Florida.
[00:19:12] Speaker A: Yes. It was so good to see them because we sat with them last year and then we saw them again this year and we were just like, oh, my gosh. And, like, run to each other. Big hug.
So it's fun to see everybody year over year at all of the stuff, so. And then, of course, we are going to be hosting some advanced clinical trainings here in this very center, which we're so excited about. We've been wanting to be able to be a part of that for a long time. And so now it's kind of finally coming to be. So Starting in, like, Q2, we'll be hosting those training events here with you guys. And we just completed our advanced clinical training manual that I sent to you guys to look at it and give me your feedback.
So I think it's going to be really great. We're also going to include some laser safety training in it. Some, like, business insights, too, and how to pair your devices that you currently own with this so that you can be more profitable and putting together, like, membership programs and things like that, or just whatever little tips and tricks that they need to be able to implement these devices into their practices so that they can be as successful as possible with it.
[00:20:19] Speaker B: Lazy. That is exciting.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: I know.
[00:20:20] Speaker B: That is exciting. You know, one thing, the reason why I love working here at AMP is the partnership. We are partnership driven. Right. And so the fact that we really get to partner with, you know, practices like you. Right.
To help us, of course, learn more.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: Right.
[00:20:38] Speaker B: Because education is key and one of our core pillars at amp. Right. And so the fact that, you know, you have this amazing opportunity. Right. To, you know, pour into others. Right. And, you know, help us out is amazing.
We're very grateful for you.
[00:20:52] Speaker A: Well, it's one of the things that really gives us purpose. I know that Dr. Jody loves to educate. Emily loves to educate. I love to educate. Amber loves to educate. I mean, we have a team with a heart that really is fueled by that, and Alexis will be part of it. Like, we have girls that it literally fills their cup to be able to help other people, to be more successful, and it gives us purpose behind what we do. We love to be able to help our patients. We love to be able to provide for our families. But there's just something about being able to help someone else to grow and to be successful that gives you an energy that nothing else can.
[00:21:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. You know, one thing that our president of Aesthetic Management Partners, Adrian Bishop, one thing he always tells us is the last step of learning. Last step of learning is teaching, you know, and, you know, even just as a provider, I just really feel like it makes you even stronger.
[00:21:51] Speaker C: It does the whole, see one, do one, teach one.
[00:21:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: Amen.
[00:21:57] Speaker A: Well, and it helps you stay on top of your game, too, because otherwise you just kind of become complacent, you know, and you're not really learning and innovating. And if you're having to be a leader and you're teaching other people your trade or your skills or your knowledge, you're gonna always want to stay ahead of the game. Stay ahead of the game, because at some point you'll be irrelevant if you don't.
[00:22:17] Speaker B: Exactly. Exactly.
[00:22:19] Speaker A: So I just think that, you know, there's so many people that want to safeguard everything they know, and it just. It's an injustice to themselves.
[00:22:26] Speaker B: You know, gatekeeping is one thing that I will say, if it's a major disservice to yourself.
[00:22:32] Speaker A: Right.
[00:22:33] Speaker B: Sharing your best practices and tips with other industry professionals is always going to be key. Right. And so thank you, of course, for allowing, for just allowing and being open to being that. That trainer, that facility for us that we really, really, really need.
[00:22:50] Speaker A: Well, we all learn from each other, too. I mean, and us being able to experience all of these offices and their practices, we'll learn as much from them as they're learning from us, you know, I mean, because it's just the little things that make such a big difference.
So I think that it's really.
I think it's just really important too, that, like, it's no secret that we've been doing memberships for a very, very long time. We've been doing them for about 15 years, and now everybody's doing memberships. It's like the thing to do.
[00:23:21] Speaker B: Your memberships are stellar.
[00:23:22] Speaker A: Our memberships are really well thought out. They're very simple. They're very make sense. They're good for everybody.
But if we were the only person who ever did memberships forever and ever. Amen. Like, what would be our motivation? To improve and to do better and to think outside the box and to be innovative. Like, we need iron sharpens iron and.
[00:23:44] Speaker B: We need to get thought out of.
[00:23:45] Speaker A: My brain, other people to be catching up, to push you to think and do more and be better and to give that better experience or to bring in that new technology or to have whatever it is that makes you unique and different. You can't just keep doing the same thing over and over and over again.
[00:24:04] Speaker B: Or, yeah, Lacey, if you could tell, let's say one thing to that new provider that's left the hospital that is now wanting to branch out into aesthetics. Right. And they want to build their brand, build their image, create a business in aesthetics. What would you tell them?
[00:24:19] Speaker A: Well, first of all, they need to get a good attorney, get a good medical attorney, someone who knows what they're doing, because there's nothing better than being able to sleep peacefully at night knowing that you're in compliance.
So, number one, making sure that you're working inside of your scope of practice, making sure that you have all of your I's dotted and your T's crossed, because you can't just jump into medical aesthetics and think that you, like, can just do anything and everything that you want. Because there's definitely steps that have to be taken and forms that have to be filled out and applications that have to be done.
[00:24:53] Speaker B: You said paper. You're talking paper.
[00:24:55] Speaker A: I don't even like paper, but I will have the paper for this.
[00:24:59] Speaker B: One thing about Lacey is she's gonna make sure everything is digital. All right?
[00:25:02] Speaker A: It is definitely gonna be digital. If it's. That can possibly be digital. And then also making sure that you have a really great accountant. You want to make sure that you have a really great accountant that is going to be involved actively with the decisions that you're making and making sure that you're making forward thinking decisions and that you're not just trying to fix mistakes that you made.
You want to be very thoughtful with what you're doing. And then you want to research the companies that you're going to partner with. You want to really research the skincare brands that you're going to partner with. Because all of those things are so very important. Because at the end of the day, your patients need to be able to trust the decisions that you make. And this equipment is not cheap. And you want to make sure that it's effective. And you want to make sure that you are partnering with people that you can trust that are going to be there with you along the way so that when you make those recommendations to patients, they trust you. And that makes your job so much easier because you're not having to convince somebody.
[00:26:03] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:26:03] Speaker A: To take a chance on you, because it doesn't take long for your reputation to proceed you. Because it's either going to be a good one or a bad one. And you definitely want to make sure that it's a good one.
[00:26:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Listen, I absolutely. I love this. I love this. Right?
[00:26:22] Speaker A: All right, so the only thing left last that I would really like to touch on is the Aqua Firm.
[00:26:30] Speaker B: Oh, okay.
[00:26:31] Speaker A: Because she is our baby girl.
[00:26:33] Speaker B: All right, now listen here. I might embarrass myself when I say this. Okay? You guys know I don't call her Aqua Firm. You know what? You know what I call her? That's Ms. Aquanisha.
[00:26:42] Speaker A: Aquanisha.
[00:26:44] Speaker B: All right? That's our girl. That's my homegirl. All right? Aqua Firm is going to be that medical grade facial on steroids.
It's, you know, it's providing a facial. A medical grade facial with stem cells. Right.
There's nothing like it in the industry. Nothing like it. And then on top of that, not Only can you do a facial with Ms. Aquanisha. You can do some hair restoration too, right?
In fact, our plant based exosomes derive for hair restoration has won the aesthetic award for non surgical hair restoration two times in a row. Give it up for Lacey Edwards because she has it here at Smart Skin.
[00:27:22] Speaker A: Partner of the year.
[00:27:23] Speaker B: Partner of the Year.
[00:27:24] Speaker A: Who's counting?
Three years in a row for Scarlet, but who's counting?
[00:27:28] Speaker B: Who's counting? Who's counting?
[00:27:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So we built our business on ultrasound. Right. So the first thing that my mom brought into the practice, when she started out as a solo esthetician, she was the first person in Alabama to do microdermabrasion. So she created a combination of treatments using microdermabrasion, ultrasound and jet pill, which was an oxygen jet treatment. And it was called our Ultrasound Elite facial or ultimate trio when it first started out. So we've been using ultrasound from the very, very beginning when it was being used in equine therapy or in the burn clinics for burn victims. So we knew that it was going to be really great for healing the skin and it was going to be able to do really great things for aesthetic purposes. So it was shrinking the pores from the inside out. It was helping with tone, texture, elasticity all over skin repair. So we've been doing our Ultrasound Elite facial for over 25 years and we still do that treatment combination today as part of our membership program is one of the options. Well, the Aqua Firm is basically the Ultrasound Elite on steroids. Yes, it is our medical grade version of the Ultrasound Elite. Using those exosomes and the Bohr effect and the infusion and exfoliation, red light therapy, all of those things together.
It has quickly become one of our number one treatments that we do here at the, at the office.
[00:29:01] Speaker B: You know, a lot of my patients, whenever I do get to be in the provider seat, they love the lip treatment. Have you ever done that?
[00:29:09] Speaker A: I mean, we go over the lips.
[00:29:10] Speaker B: Yes, they love that. They found, first of all, you get that plump, of course, feel and look after that treatment. But of course the exfoliation too. Right.
And then of course, I love doing the decollete going into the chest area.
[00:29:24] Speaker A: Right.
[00:29:25] Speaker B: I will say that that ultrasound you're speaking of, patients say that it feels like a hot sew massage.
[00:29:31] Speaker A: Right.
[00:29:32] Speaker B: So not only, of course are you getting that tone, texture, tightening, all those things. Right. But you're also getting something that is very therapeutic, right? Yes. So we're correcting those skin concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea Colorization, the dullness to the skin. Right. But we're also providing a nice therapeutic. Just relax and chill time, too.
[00:29:53] Speaker A: Yes. It is one of the most relaxing treatments I have ever had. I mean, it is just from the start of the treatment to the very end, you're getting, like, a new experience.
[00:30:05] Speaker B: I'm going to sleep when someone gives me an aquifer.
[00:30:07] Speaker A: It's so good. And especially getting into winter season and everybody's skin is dry. Hydrating that skin, you truly look like a glazed donut when you walk out the door.
[00:30:17] Speaker B: Yes. And talk about the hydration, like, of course, in wintertime, you want to make sure that you're doing things to really keep up and make sure you're hydrating the skin. And Aquafirm is going to do that 10 times over.
[00:30:25] Speaker A: Right, right. And I love, too, that it pairs so well with our radio frequency devices. It pairs so well with our NuViderm laser that's, as you said, attracted to the hydration in the skin. And so being able to pair that with other things, too. Like you said, one plus one doesn't equal two equals like a million.
[00:30:42] Speaker B: Exactly. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. And then another thing with Aqua Firm, too, you know, a lot of patients are really suffering from, you know, you could say dry skin and all those things. So this amazing treatment all through and through.
[00:30:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:59] Speaker B: Another thing, of course, when you're comboing with that nuvaderm. Right. I love to make sure that we're also using NuvaDerm and Aqua Firm for hair restoration. Right, right.
We love a combo series treatment where, of course, you come in for your six months for that Aqua Firm treatment, but also you come in for your eight weeks for that fine tuning for the scalp, if you will, with NuvaDerm.
[00:31:20] Speaker C: Right.
[00:31:21] Speaker B: Once again, one plus one equals a million.
[00:31:26] Speaker A: And I know Dr. Jodi loves the Aqua Firm, too, so I know we were treating you with Aqua Firm at one point after you had.
You had something.
Oh, I think we did a demo on her of a different manufacturer's RF microneedling or resurfacing.
And she had.
[00:31:49] Speaker C: I had, like, my skin is very reactive. Anyway, she had an adverse reaction because.
[00:31:53] Speaker A: The tip that they were demoing for us wasn't fully on the. The handpiece. And then they kept turning the thing up, thinking that the settings were low. And then we talked to customer service and we got the tip attached all the way, but then they forgot to turn the settings back down.
The trainer did. And so they did her treatment, and she swelled up like the Michelin man. And had like welps all over her. And so we treated her with aquaferm and goodness, it really did help to speed up that recovery process.
[00:32:24] Speaker B: Yeah. Because you got to think about it, those plant based exosomes are going to work.
Oh my goodness.
[00:32:30] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:32:31] Speaker B: Oh my.
[00:32:32] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:32:33] Speaker B: Talk about inflammation, talk about inflammation. Those plant based stem cells are going to reduce that inflammation in the skin, right?
[00:32:39] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:32:39] Speaker B: Defy is going to help inflammate you and it's going to be an anti aging serum for you.
[00:32:44] Speaker A: Yeah, she went through some exosomes during that period for sure. And some red light therapy.
[00:32:49] Speaker B: Yes. Oh my goodness. Well I'm glad that Ms. Aquanisha was able to reduce all that inflammation.
[00:32:55] Speaker A: Aquanisha to the rescue.
[00:32:56] Speaker B: Okay, she, she, she definitely. Yeah, she did her big one.
[00:32:59] Speaker A: My mom's definitely going to be doing some aquafirm next week after she's fully healed from her nerm as well.
[00:33:05] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: We do love to have patients especially like post chemical pills or post micro needling to do this treatment in between because you are going to get that exfoliation and then that hydration as well.
[00:33:18] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:18] Speaker A: Just to take off the rest of the dead skin cells, get all that debris out of the way and then healing it up with that hydration.
[00:33:25] Speaker B: I think you're telling me that I need an aqua firm because I just had anuverderm not too long ago and I definitely need to.
[00:33:30] Speaker A: Yeah, sounds like you do to me.
[00:33:32] Speaker B: Yeah, I need to book with smart skin.
[00:33:35] Speaker A: So currently we have one aqua firm device so everybody's fighting on it. But pretty soon we're gonna have two more joining the family.
[00:33:43] Speaker B: Now you know you said this was the last topic we were going to discuss but you know I have to always pray. Right. Because I liked for them to hear it here first.
But is there any where we're growing to in the new year?
[00:33:56] Speaker A: Growing to?
[00:33:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Is smart skin growing anywhere else?
[00:33:59] Speaker A: You never know. I mean we're in Ross Bridge right now and then we're here in Homewood and then we've got our training center but we're always looking to grow.
[00:34:08] Speaker B: Uh oh, keep your eye out guys.
[00:34:14] Speaker A: I'm like, do you know something?
[00:34:15] Speaker C: I don't?
[00:34:16] Speaker B: I don't know. I just feel like, I just feel like you're always looking for the next thing, right?
[00:34:20] Speaker A: Well I sent some pictures of a potential space to my mom this morning.
[00:34:23] Speaker B: See, I just knew, I just knew.
[00:34:25] Speaker A: I'm like how did you know this?
[00:34:26] Speaker B: So you just gotta pull it out of her, guys. You just gotta put on.
[00:34:28] Speaker A: I Was like, wait, did you just look into my soul? What just happened?
I'm like, what kind of soul reaching was that?
[00:34:37] Speaker B: You just gotta pull it out of it, right? You know, she's one thing about Lacey, she's always looking for the next thing, right?
[00:34:42] Speaker A: Always.
[00:34:43] Speaker B: All right. I told you, she's innovative. She got that those jeans were passed down from mom.
But of course I know we're looking. I can feel it. I know we are. So, guys, be on the lookout because I think you may have something new coming.
[00:34:53] Speaker A: We might call it forth.
Calling it forth.
[00:34:57] Speaker B: Okay. Speaking into existence.
[00:34:59] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:35:01] Speaker A: Now you're speaking mine and my mom's language.
[00:35:03] Speaker B: Uh huh. Exactly. Right. I love manifesting. That's one of my. One of my favorite things to do. I manifested this, right?
[00:35:09] Speaker A: You did.
[00:35:10] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:35:10] Speaker A: Yeah, you sure did.
[00:35:11] Speaker B: Yeah. So I'm excited. Let's. And Lacey, thank you. Thank you again for having me.
[00:35:15] Speaker A: Thank you for coming. You always get everybody super excited. The girls love it when you're here.
We love it when you're here. We appreciate you and Carlos and everything that you guys do for our team.
Super thankful to be a part of the Amp family.
[00:35:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Training's here when I come. You guys are always so hospitable and so welcoming and warming. Right? And you're open to learn. You know, I like to say, when you're green, you grow. When you're ripe, you rot.
[00:35:41] Speaker C: Right?
[00:35:43] Speaker B: And if you're in growth mode, like your. Your staff and your team are consistently. They're consistently in growth mode. I love working with teams like Smart Kit, like Smart Skin. You guys are always in growth mode.
