[00:00:21] Speaker A: Hey, this is Lacey with smartcast, and I'm here today with Mary Margaret, and we are going to talk about our recent trip to Miami, where we may or may not have won several awards, as well as a chemical pill event that we're going to be hosting here at Smart Skin Homewood tomorrow.
[00:00:36] Speaker B: Mary Margaret, how is everyone doing? We had a great time in Miami. Where did we put all the trophies we won?
[00:00:48] Speaker A: In the cabinet with all of our.
[00:00:50] Speaker B: Exisms in the front lobby. Yeah. And we got that for Scarlet.
[00:00:55] Speaker A: Yes. Scarlet Partner of the Year. And we were Collagen Pen Partner of the Year and Diamond Partner of the Year.
[00:01:02] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:01:03] Speaker A: So next year we have our sites set on Derma, prp, the XOE and Arrive. So we'll be adding some more awards to our cabinet case next year from amp.
So it was such a fun night at the award ceremony and we got to.
We got to meet talks Josh, and we took some pictures together. And I joked around and said that I tricked him into taking photos with me because he was taking pictures with his marketing director with all of his trophies. And I was like, standing there with hours and I was like, we should take some together. And he was like, yes, get over here. So we took a bunch of pictures together. And he's just so fun to watch on social media. And I love that he just kind of like tells it how it is on his platforms. And I think that he's really educational and fun to watch too. So it was really nice to see him again in person.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: Yeah. And the greatest part is we have some new things coming, if I'm even allowed to say that, because recently in the treatment room, people have been asking me, they're like, what have you done to your skin? And I was. I'm thinking, what have I done? But I have done the thing that we are getting.
[00:02:13] Speaker A: A secret new thing.
[00:02:15] Speaker B: Yes. The secret thing that I can't tell anyone. So I don't know if I can even say it or you should say it. What we are.
[00:02:22] Speaker A: We'll be announcing it later this month.
[00:02:24] Speaker B: Okay. We still can't say it, but you can look at me and Lacey's skin because we did get to experience it. But we can say it is for the face and full body. So everywhere. You can treat pretty much everywhere on the body.
[00:02:38] Speaker A: Yes. And the technology that it uses is really interesting and unique. It's attracted to water versus melanin in the skin. So it's super safe for people with melasma as well. So we'll be able to treat a very Wide range of conditions. And so I'm really excited to bring this into our practice. And then it'll be very superficial light treatments all the way up to very strong treatments. So stay tuned for that.
[00:03:04] Speaker B: And I guess some, like, cool things that we learned while we were there was also. Well, we've had it at Smart Skin for a while, the Derma prp, but we are now doing it in the bottom like we've been doing with The Radiesse.
[00:03:22] Speaker A: Liquid BBLs.
[00:03:23] Speaker B: Yeah, liquid BBLs. But it's a more natural approach.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: Yeah, I love that. It's really great for stretch marks and just overall skin condition as well. So, like, I have some little stretch marks on the side of my booty from my first pregnancy, and it's really made a big difference for me in the texture and tone of that skin while also keeping a very natural look.
[00:03:47] Speaker B: And a lot of people have been getting this treatment done. I feel like people have been backing away from fillers, even though I still love fillers and what their job is to do. But people just want a more natural, volumized look. And this is a perfect way to do it. And to my understanding, it's when you do the procedure, you get at least six syringes of filler comparable to it when you get it done. Yeah.
[00:04:14] Speaker A: If you're doing the 11ml kit, you can get approximately six syringes of a volumizer out of the Derma PRP. And if you do the 22 kit, you're getting approximately 12. And so a lot of people like to distribute that in some liquid BBL for the booty and then put some in their lips and their tear troughs and then just in there, like anywhere that they need some facial rejuvenation. Derma PRP is the best fit for. For those people. And then also patients that have underlying autoimmune or they just don't feel comfortable with the thought of a synthetic product being injected into their face.
[00:04:49] Speaker B: And you've gotten it done. And so where did you put it in your face when you got it done?
[00:04:53] Speaker A: Tear troughs. Because I have terrible allergies and I always have persistent dark circles, and this has been the only thing I've been able to do personally. That just looks and feels so natural. It's brightened up my under eyes. I don't have dark circles anymore. It just really rejuvenated underneath my eyes. And I have not had lip filler in over two years. But I have done the Derma PRP and it's brought the really Pretty pink color back to my lips. It's volumized my lips. It's given them that natural collagen production and that youthful look back. And then I had a little bit of hollowing in my jowl area because I do have TMJ and I get tox in my jaws for my masseters.
And so we put a little bit in that area for some hollowing. And it's really kind of added that much needed volume loss back there as well. And then I did do some for liquid BPL for my booty, of course, for the stretch marks.
[00:05:43] Speaker B: So it's really cool. Like when you go in to get the procedure done, you can kind of put it in a little bit of everywhere. And for that price point, it's great.
[00:05:53] Speaker A: And it's super versatile. So you can do pretty much anything you want to with it, which I love.
[00:05:58] Speaker B: And it's natural. So the procedure for it, when you come into smart skin, what is that like?
[00:06:04] Speaker A: So they're going to numb the area and then they're gonna do a pilot hole and they'll use a cannula to inject it into. And so it. You can feel the pressure of it, but it's not painful at all. So it does not have powdered lidocaine in it like some of the HA fillers do. But with them numbing the pilot hole area and using that cannula, you really aren't feeling anything. It's not, it's not uncomfortable.
[00:06:27] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:06:27] Speaker A: I didn't feel like. I mean, I don't, you know, I'm a little bit of a. Of a warrior when it comes to fillers anyways. Cause I don't do numbing cream for lip filler. I don't like the pain. I just would prefer the pain over the feeling of numbing cream, personally.
[00:06:42] Speaker B: And not a lot of downtime at all. Correct. And it gets better over time. Correct, it does.
[00:06:48] Speaker A: It's just going to continue to improve. And then we really like for people to do two treatments about 45 days apart. And then they'll need to maintain it after that anywhere from nine to 12 months. So it just varies on the person. But, you know, it just is kind of like a prejuvenation. It's really going to help with that all over luminosity to your skin and give you that really pretty glow and just looks really healthy.
[00:07:14] Speaker B: And I guess to pair that with, I mean, we've talked about it forever, is the scarlet. And that's what is kind of like our backbone. I feel like clients Love it when they do one or a series of treatments, they kind of come in and they keep doing it.
And the best part is when you come in, you get your full face, face, your neck, your chest, the back of your neck to lift and tighten everything. And also we go really close and personal to your eyes. And I feel like a lot of our other devices, we can't do that. So people just love the microneedling with the radio frequency lifting and tightening of the skin. And I feel like we have a lot more people doing it on the body as well.
[00:07:57] Speaker A: Oh yeah, the body treatments with Scarlet are incredible. We've done a lot of like, knee lifts and around the arms. We always include neck and chest with each face. Scarlet, they love that we go all the way around to the back of the neck to give that really saran wrap like lifting effect. We're able to really manipulate those needles when we're doing the Scarlet to pull everything up and tighten the skin and tack everything back up to where it's supposed to be.
[00:08:24] Speaker B: And a really awesome thing is a lot of people, over time, they need a breast lift. And I guess some of the girls, they went to a training and they compared a breast immediately after and it was automatically just lifted. So this is a great procedure to do for that as well. And you can see results right away.
And then also when we were there, we've had derived for a really long time the hair growth serum. I've actually been putting it in my eyebrows since I've gotten back. So it's probably been three, four weeks now. It's been a couple weeks and they're coming out with a brow and lash serum, apparently. But I have loved it. I really have. I've noticed a growth in my eyebrows. And so that is my new eyebrow obsession. I really do love it.
[00:09:20] Speaker A: You know, it's really interesting too. When we were there, they showed us some studies that they did with the drive. They did a comparison of ultrasound with the drive and doing the micro needling with the drive. And they actually saw better, faster, more effective results from ultrasounding in. And that's painless. So if you gave me the choice between ultrasounding in derived for hair growth or microneedling it In, I think 10 out of 10 times people are going to rather ultrasound that in because there's zero pain and it's very comfortable. And they're seeing some really incredible results from that. And they are also seeing gray hair turning back to its natural color, which they have not done any, like, studies or being able to prove. Why that's happening. But they are. It's just kind of like a happy side effect that they're noticing.
[00:10:10] Speaker B: Yeah, I thought that was really awesome. And then because they kind of. They've been doing. Injecting PRP for so many years. And so now kind of with the derma PRP we do as well. When they add the Selenas to it. Is that what it's called to kind of like fluff up your own prp? It's actually like a better burger.
[00:10:30] Speaker A: So they're baking your own PRP and turning it into a filler?
[00:10:33] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:10:34] Speaker A: So it's the process in which they're turning it from PRP and they're baking it and turning it into a volumizer.
[00:10:39] Speaker B: Yeah. So they're just kind of even backing away from the injections, even in the head for hair growth. So they're doing it with the derived.
Just the ultrasound and the derived.
[00:10:51] Speaker A: Right. Well, the exosomes that are specifically for hair regeneration are going to be very consistent in their efficacy because sometimes with prp, it's dependent upon the specific patient. It's dependent upon, you know, their health, even for the day. So if you have something that's going to be a little bit more consistent for every single patient and for every single day of the week, you're going to get the same result out of an exosome that's made specifically for that method messenger to grow new hair, then they're going to get really great results from that.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: And we do do the exosomes with the scarlet as well, infused into the skin, which I love. I wish I could use that every day as a product. And they said they're working on it.
[00:11:35] Speaker A: They are working on that. And then Emily and I, when we were in California, they were showing that the recovery complex from Skin Medica had several billion exosomes in it already. And then they were doing studies on the TNSA plus for them to be able to make those claims as well.
