[00:00:20] Speaker A: Hey, this is Lacey with smartcast and I'm here today with Katherine from Sinclair.
Katherine, you have been with Sinclair for how many years now?
[00:00:29] Speaker B: Little over two years.
[00:00:30] Speaker A: Two years. We've been partners with Sinclair back when you guys were viora. So about 11 or 12 years now.
We love you guys. Of course we have lots of Yalls equipment and we've got more on the way, which I'm super excited about.
So I'd like to talk to you today a little bit about the different technologies that we've had for a while and then some of the new technologies that we're going to be bringing into our new Hoover location.
So the V20 platform is where we started with you guys from the very beginning. And it's a multi platform device that we have. We have the IPL which has different filters to address different concerns. We have the ST handpiece which is going to be for skin tightening for full face. Or you can do like just around the eyes or the mouth or the neck. You guys will have a lot of really cool procedures that you can do with that one. We also have the V form which is the body contouring. So we have really loved our V20 platform. It is such a workhorse. It is part of our membership program. It is like the best of the best. So we love it.
[00:01:37] Speaker B: IPL is my favorite.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: Yes. So I know that there's a lot of confusion around the difference between BBL and ipl and some people are saying that IPL is old school technology. So tell me a little bit about why the IPL on the Viora Sinclair platform is not your old school traditional ipl.
[00:01:59] Speaker B: Well, we can change up the wavelengths with all our five different filters. We also have contact cooling so you don't have to numb before. It feels like ice cube on the skin when you put it on the skin. When you're pulsing before, after and during, while you're pulsing, you're getting that contact coolness on the skin. We also have with our proprietary technology, the PCR technology. So we can change up the pulse duration and quick.
[00:02:27] Speaker A: Yeah, just make it more comfortable and then customize it based on the patient's skin type too. So that's the same thing as controlled pulse configuration, is that correct?
[00:02:38] Speaker B: Yes, correct.
[00:02:39] Speaker A: Okay, so the traditional IPL that my mom started with like way back in the day was a skin station and it literally felt like you're being popped in the face with a rubber band. And this does not feel like that at all. Like you said, it's got that contact cooling. So it chills the skin before, during, and after. It's got those five different filters, so we can customize the treatment plan based on the patient's specific skincare needs and what they're wanting to address. And then it's got that controlled pulse configuration so that we can do short pulses or we can do stronger, like, one punch pulses. So we can really do a lot of customization with this platform for the ipl. So it is going to address a very wide range of skin concerns. So it's really great for, like, broken capillaries, it's really great for skin rejuvenation, it's great for acne treatments, it's great for sun damage and hyperpigmentation, as well as hair removal. So a very wide range of treatment applications with this device and then with the st. Tell me a little bit about the ST handpiece on this device.
[00:03:49] Speaker B: I love it because you don't have to constantly keep moving it to generate heat. So it's that trigger and it's bipolar radio frequency. So one of my favorite things to do for it is really close to the orbital rim. It's very hard to get a device there. So up under the eyes, you can do hooding of the eyes, crow's feet. And then a lot of my offices love doing it for lip plumping. So anyone, I say plump without the poke. So if you're scared of lip filler or in between your lip filler sessions to kind of rejuvenate those fine lines.
[00:04:15] Speaker A: Yeah. And there's really nowhere you can't treat with the ST handpiece. I mean, we've treated hands, we've treated earlobes. You guys even have, like a special protocol for labia tightening. I mean, like, literally, the.
You know, you can treat anywhere with this for skin tightening, which is really great. And the thing that a lot of our patients really love about it is, like, you said that eyelid hooding. So we do, like, a starburst effect above the brows and then above on the brow line, like where the eyebrow is, and then below. So it really gives a really nice opening of the eyes. And they feel like they can tell a difference. Immediately.
[00:04:51] Speaker B: You can. I like doing one side of the face and then kind of sitting them up and letting them see, look. We're kind of getting that result now. And I also love no downtime.
[00:04:59] Speaker A: Right.
[00:04:59] Speaker B: So you'll have a little redness because it's just that radio frequency heat 5D1 side, and by the time I get to the other side, the redness typically goes away. Yeah. So you're not going to have any downtime.
[00:05:08] Speaker A: And I do love too, that it has like the cooling during this treatment as well. So the tip, while it's radio frequency using heat, it's chilling the skin as well. So super safe.
[00:05:17] Speaker B: They were safe. Super comfortable. And no downtime and quick results.
[00:05:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:22] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:05:22] Speaker A: And then we have the V form here at our Homewood location with our. We have two of the V20 platforms here and we do have the V form applicators, small, medium and large. So we can do the submentum with that. We can do the arms, we can do the tummy, we can do booty. And so that's going to help with like cellulite appearance. It's going to help flushing out all of the fluid in the body to help push that into the lymphatic draining system. It's going to shrink the fat cells from the size of a grape to the size of a raisin and then flushing all of that out through your lymphatic draining system as well. So it's going to really. With skin tightening and smoothing out that appearance of cellulite to give a tighter look. And also, which I really loved to learn about at one of the previous clinical trainings that you guys offered for our staff was learning about creating a healthier skin tissue. And so, like where the bands are that give that appearance of cellulite, instead of snapping those bands or doing whatever, it's actually tricking the body into adding more hydration to the area and making those bands healthier. So it gives more. And it's giving a healthier flexibility to those bands instead of being brittle and dry and weak.
[00:06:40] Speaker B: Yes. I think it's called the septae bands for the cellulite I always love. Because men have X shape, apparently, and women have U shape.
[00:06:47] Speaker A: Yay.
[00:06:48] Speaker B: Of course. So that's why we get a little more cellulite and just rejuvenating those bands. You bring up a great point. With hydration with the dermafuse now new device they're gonna have, it's electroporation. So it's really great to do combination therapy. We have a serum for hydration. Radiofrequency loves water. So if we do a combination treatment right before with our hydration serum and then afterwards with our lipo Elm serum to kind of target those fat cells, it's great combination, just faster results and it's very comfortable. And one thing I love about the V form, it's not just placed on one area. You can really contour where you need it.
[00:07:24] Speaker A: Right.
[00:07:24] Speaker B: So if you're kind of focus on more of the back or the arms anywhere lacks loose skin, you want that body contouring feel or if you have any kind of loose skin from semaglutides.
[00:07:35] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. It's definitely going to be very customizable based on the area that you're treating. And you know, like you said, you really can layer those treatments in with the dermafuse and doing customized serums that you're driving in. So the cool thing about the dermafuse is that it's kind of a no needle mesotherapy. It's driving those active ingredients as deep as an injection with no needles. And so you're able to actually get that deeper into the skin than even using ultrasound, which is really cool. So I love being able to layer those treatments together so that you can optimize your results. So tell me some of the other serums that are going to be available with the dermafuse.
[00:08:18] Speaker B: My favorite for anything that's hydration, collagen boosters. So it's great to do after microneedling for just collagen boosting. There is one for smooth. So for acne prone skin or acne client, especially if you're doing the IPL nice before kind of finishing with that smooth for the acne.
[00:08:36] Speaker A: And that's good for like teen acne congestion as well as adult acne.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:08:41] Speaker A: Great. Well, Isabella's here today to be our model. So we're gonna do a couple of treatments on her side. If you have that serum today, I'd love to do that one on her. So I think that will go over great. And you know, because you're able to get those actives in so deep without a needle, clients are gonna love that.
[00:08:58] Speaker B: It is 99% absorption. Yeah. Typically your microneedling is 20 to 30%. So it is huge without having to put a needle in the skin.
[00:09:05] Speaker A: Yeah. So great for things like exosomes for especially like the derived for hair regeneration and being able to drive those exosomes in deeper into the scalp for hair loss. And you guys are doing a study with PRP now too? Is that what you said?
[00:09:21] Speaker B: It's coming out in the future.
[00:09:22] Speaker A: Super excited about that.
[00:09:23] Speaker B: There's gonna be a little silicone tip that can use on the top. So instead of having to needle with prp. Very comfortable.
[00:09:30] Speaker A: Yeah. Which would be even better than microneedling it in or even ultrasounding it in because like we said, it was able to penetrate deeper into the skin. And I Love too that with the dermafuse you can do face and body as well.
[00:09:43] Speaker B: Yeah. There's a body piece and then perfect pairs. Perfect with that V form anywhere in the body.
[00:09:49] Speaker A: I love that our patients are more interested today in body treatments than they were even 11 years ago. When we started with you guys, it was a much different conversation back then to introduce body treatments than it is today. We have a lot more people coming in specifically asking about body treatments to where before it was a face focus and then body was like a next step. And so now I think it's almost the reverse. We have people coming in asking for body and then they're like oh yeah, what can we do for my skin?
[00:10:17] Speaker B: Really? Wow.
[00:10:18] Speaker A: So it's the conversations changed a little bit over the years which I think is really exciting and fun. I think that a lot of body treatments are coming out now too. Especially like topical. Like skin better just released their alpharette body which I think would pair really nicely with these things too exciting.
[00:10:36] Speaker B: Yeah, I know that.
[00:10:38] Speaker A: Yeah. So another new thing that we're going to be bringing into our Hoover location is Yalls Preme which is a beautiful multifunctional platform. So tell me all of the exciting things that are going to be on the pre made platform.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: The pre made dermafacial. So it's got five different modalities on one device. So our first handpiece you would compare to your hydrafacial. It is that Aqua B handpiece. We have three different solutions. So that's step one, our active ingredient. It's a vacuum with that hydrodermabrasion and it's also pushing out the solutions into the skin. So our main active ingredient in step one is lactic acid for cleansing all over the skin. Step two is going to be our purify and we've got salicylic acid in the T zones in your congested areas. And step three is nourish. So there's panthenol in it, there's hyaluronic acid. You're gonna wanna put that all over the skin just to kind of help with wound healing properties. Re plump up the skin and fresh and keep it hydrated. That is our all in one for the Hydra piece. Our second piece is our Vibrox. So it's CO2 microdermabrasion. When you use these specific pods and gels that we put on the skin, it reacts and makes this chemical reaction and triggers the bore effect. And basically it's just the ability for hemoglobin to come to the Top of the skin and just oxygenate the skin. So just re energizing, helping with wound healing properties there as well. And you're also getting that microderm with that piece. It also vibrates and has red LEDs in it. Lovely. It's one of my favorite pieces is the micro tea. So it's muscle toning so it can go up under the jowls, the cheekbones, eyelids, on the forehead. What this does, you know, as we start to age, that's one of the first things or signs of aging is our muscle tone. So just everything's kind of drooping. So I like to say we snatch with this one. I like to set people up with one, do one side of the face and then see a big difference on the other with this one as well. The fourth hand piece is radio frequency energy, kind of like what we've been discussing. So just creating that thermal damage, bringing white blood cells, fibroblasts to the areas and just creating collagen. So skin tightening, it's very warm. It's going to be your favorite piece because you're going to want to go to sleep. And then the last piece, instead of just leaving the, leaving your facial and putting stuff on top of the skin for a hydrating serum, we push it deep into the skin with ultrasound technology. So deep into the dermal layer and then you're leaving glowing within. So it's great. You're, you're coming in and out with great glow. So it's. You're walking in, walking out.
[00:13:09] Speaker A: Yeah, no, I love that. So that actually includes several of our membership treatment options all on one platform, which is amazing. We do layer a lot of our treatments together in combination therapy, but these treatments can all be done individually as well, which I love. So we will have this at our Hoover location for our membership services. And you know, like you said, we do those individually, but you can also layer those together if you wanted a really nice deluxe treatment with multiple treatments done all at one time. So I'm really excited also about the space saving capability of that because typically we would have like three or four different devices to be able to offer each of those treatments. And this has most all of our membership treatments all in one device, which is incredible.
So I love that. And you know what's really crazy is that we've been doing these treatments together on different devices for 25 years.
[00:14:07] Speaker B: So.
[00:14:08] Speaker A: And it's like now, 25 years later, you guys have made it super easy for us by putting all of the things on one platform, which is great. I Love that so much. So tell me a little bit more about Viora or Sinclair as a company and where you guys are going from here. I know you guys have come a long way. We've been partners with you, like I said for like 11 or 12 years now. Back when you guys were new little baby company. And it was so cute when I went to the beauty boss and spoke with you guys at that conference. Being able to see these people in person that I've talked to and known their voices for years. And then we finally see each other in person and we're like, oh my God, I know that voice. I know you. So that was a really fun experience. And seeing you guys just grow as a company and get, you know, bought out recently and I feel like you guys are still the same company that you were when I first met you. It didn't change anything about the integrity of your company and how you guys treat your customers. We've always felt like family with you guys. You know, of course with a brand new company there are going to be things that happen along the way. And one of the things that I've always bragged about you guys as a company is that you don't always get it right, but you always make it right. And to me that speaks so much more to your integrity as a company than just to do okay and not always do the right thing.
I think you guys always do the right thing. And we really appreciate Yalls partnership and we love y'all. And I'm so excited to see the progress that you guys have made over the years and I'm excited to be a part of the journey as you continue to grow.
[00:15:48] Speaker B: I know. I love our growth because we still feel like that same small Viora feel here in North America since we've got acquired by Sinclair.
[00:15:56] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:15:56] Speaker B: So now we just have more R and D power and we have more toys to play with now. We've got a standalone diode laser hair removal. We've got the Energet, which we have your Energet.
[00:16:08] Speaker A: So we will touch on that. And then also I want to touch on our facial analysis device we have.
[00:16:13] Speaker B: With you guys too. Yes, we've got so much.
[00:16:15] Speaker A: I forget how much I have of your stuff.
[00:16:17] Speaker B: Got a lot. So we started out as Biora and it's kind of, I call it the, the Med Spawn wheels like the all in one platform. You can have radio frequency energy for vaginal rejuvenation. Sephora st. Not ablative skin tightening. We have ablative skin tightening ipl. You can Even have a YAG laser on there. Really good for those leg veins. Body contouring, facial contouring, handpiece. I think we've got some stuff coming out. I can't really say yet. So always adding to that, which is exciting. And our standalone devices, if you're doing a ton of hair removal and you need a diode knocking out real quick, man's back. In five minutes, we've got a standalone diode hair removal. The Prime Lace, the Energet, which is that pneumatic technology to put different therapeutic materials into the skin so we can do a kinetic facelift.
[00:17:03] Speaker A: I loved the Enerjet specifically for me because we were able to do my necklace lines and I had like, these little tiny little bumps where it infused the product for a couple of days and then it just completely went away. But my necklines are so much softer. We have another staff that we worked on, her stretch marks, and I would say she probably had at least, least a 30% improvement in the tone and texture of those stretch marks. And they were pretty significant stretch marks. And she's only done one treatment, she needs to do some more. But, I mean, I am really impressed with the results that she's seen so far. We also did a PRP for hair loss for another one of our staff members, and she was really excited because typically, you know, you're injecting that with a needle and it hurts. The Energet is loud, it sounds like an air gun, but it doesn't hurt. So that's really nice. And then we did the kinetic facelift on myself, so that was kind of interesting because you could, like, feel the little bumps in my hair for a couple of days, but it didn't hurt at all. I really did notice a nice little lifting effect, especially if you want to just, like, get like a brow lift. You can treat that however you want to, and it's really customizable. You can basically put most any product that you want to in there. So I think that's really cool. And we're excited to have that as an option at our Homewood practice, too. So that's been really fun. And then at the Beauty Boss conference, we brought on Yalls Image Pro. The Image Pro, which is amazing. So talk to me a little bit about Image Pro and some of the things that it does, and then I'll say how we've been using it.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: It's perfect for the consultation process. If you're not sure what you want to do, you just put your face in this and it'll tell you your skin age, which is really scary.
You can all your sun damage, you can see the size of your pores, you can see where your pores are. You can see the sebum bacteria from your acne where that's going to be any kind of deep scarring. It really kind of shows where you need to target and it's perfect for before and afters as well. So you come get a couple treatments. It's a really clear image of exactly what we've done and then we can compare.
[00:19:11] Speaker A: Yeah, it gives a really great consistent side by side photo analysis. But also we've been able to show patients that our technologies and our skincare products and the things that we have access asked our patients to do are truly working and been able to prove it using these images. And so we did a couple of skincare studies with some of our medical skincare companies and we were able to show those before and after photos to show the result that they got. We've also been able to do measuring of moisture levels. So like with our skin vive being able to prove the moisture improvement or the new HA5 hydrocollagen being able to prove the moisture improvement because there's a separate little moisture reader on there which is really cool. Also showing, like you said, the bacter that they have initially and how we're able to help them improve that. So it's been really good tool for us to use in consultations like you said, but then also as an insurance policy to say, hey, this is where you started and this was your treatment plan and this is where you are now and look at these incredible results that you've been seeing. Or we had one patient that started on a skincare regimen and in one month she aged backwards by a whole year.
[00:20:18] Speaker B: Oh my gosh, that's so exciting.
[00:20:20] Speaker A: I thought that was really impressive to be able to show her like with this medical grade skincare regimen, we were able to reverse your true age by a whole year to month. That's a big. That's huge.
[00:20:32] Speaker B: It's huge. I've done some treatments on people with the preeme and after you finish with the hydration with that ultrasound at the end, we're seeing those hydration levels go up 20%. Yeah, it's crazy.
[00:20:43] Speaker A: Well, I just love that the image pros super easy for my staff to be able to use. We're able to send those results to the patients. We're also in process of trying to do an OpenAPI integration with our software program for those results to be attached to the patient chart so that we can have that, you know, directly related to their patient chart as well. So I just love it. And I've done some demos with some competitor skin analysis devices and of course, I just love, like I said, Yalls company. And so for me to be able to work with you guys on a facial analysis device that does everything that I need it to do and I get to work with people that I actually enjoy working with is a win in my book.
[00:21:26] Speaker B: Exactly.
[00:21:27] Speaker A: So I know that you guys have some are always coming out with new attachments to the platform. And it's so funny because my mom's always like, do we need to upgrade our platform? And I'm like, it's the exact same platform that we've always had. It's a workhorse. There's no need. There's nothing to upgrade to. They're always adding to it as far as, like treatment options, which I love and appreciate.
[00:21:50] Speaker B: And it's never going to be obsolete. So you're like, oh, in a couple of years, we're always coming out with the next big thing. You're never going to not be able to use this.
[00:21:58] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: In the future. And you don't have to upgrade.
[00:22:00] Speaker A: Right.
[00:22:01] Speaker B: And we might just do a software upgrade. We'll just send you something real quick and you don't have to buy an entire new device. So really it's like an a la carte med spa on wheels. You can just customize it to what your practice needs.
[00:22:13] Speaker A: Well, I mean, and you know, at our practice, we've been around for over 25 years and we have a lot of different treatment options. So we're always having to work on something or fix something or whatever. But I know Yalls tech guys by name. So if I need anything, I'm like, hey, Erin, it's Lacey.
I'm like, what's up, buddy?
[00:22:34] Speaker B: Oh, we have the best customer customer care department.
[00:22:37] Speaker A: You guys really do. Like, they are on top of it. They are not afraid to walk me through some troubleshooting, which I appreciate because the faster I can get something back up and working or if I need a replacement part, they have it to me the very next day overnight. The customer service within Sinclair is top notch. Like, love it, love it, love it.
[00:22:58] Speaker B: That's probably my favorite part about working for this company is the customer care. Our clinical department, our marketing department, Anything you need, I've had a customer. She's like, I'm just terrible. We've got so many before and afters on the portal. She's like, I'm just terrible at the Internet. I can't figure this out. Well, I emailed our marketing interns and in five minutes we had a, you know, customized with her logo, her name, with all the before and afters on there. So huge marketing help. Yeah. And then clinical is so great with our clinical training, multiple webinars all the time going on.
[00:23:29] Speaker A: Y'all do your clinical training team is really great too.
And, you know, I just. It's nice that I know I still know everybody there, you know, I mean, like you do. It is such a big company now, but it still feels small. It still feels like you are on a first name basis with everybody. And Andrea is so great. And Gil, we've, you know, known him forever and ever. And so it's really fun to see everybody in person and still get to talk to them and stuff.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: So I take a lot of pride in the North American Sinclair. We have that Viora feel.
[00:24:06] Speaker A: Yes, definitely. And the colors are so pretty now too.
[00:24:09] Speaker B: I love the lavender look.
[00:24:10] Speaker A: The lavender is so pretty. I love it. It's very aesthetic.
[00:24:13] Speaker B: Like our Pre.
[00:24:14] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. The Pre is beautiful.
[00:24:16] Speaker B: New device.
[00:24:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Because when we saw that at one of the training events that you offered for our staff to be able to come to in Birmingham last year, I was like, sending pictures to my mom. I was like, we need this. So beautiful.
And if I know Sinclair, I know that it's going to be a great device.
So we, we try everything before we buy it. But I think the Primo may be one of the only things that we've ever bought that I didn't try. Well, we did try it too.
[00:24:44] Speaker B: I take that back, Mom.
[00:24:45] Speaker A: That's right. You did demo my mom. Okay, I take it back. We did demo it.
[00:24:49] Speaker B: That was fun. And I got to work with the steam. I've never worked with steam before with it.
[00:24:52] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:24:53] Speaker B: It's so smooth.
