[00:00:21] Speaker A: Hey, this is Lacey with Smartcast. I'm here today with our ma, Peyton, and we're going to talk to you a little bit about our upcoming specials that we're going to be running for our back to school school specials. Thank you for joining me today, Peyton.
[00:00:34] Speaker B: Hey.
[00:00:36] Speaker A: So we're going to do a couple of really fun things through the month of August. We're going to be doing 20% off of any of our basic facial services for our members and non members so they can come in and get a single visit of any of our basic facial services if they're student. So college, high school, middle school, anybody that is a student can come in and take advantage of that 20% off of basic facial service. And then for this week that the podcast is airing, we're going to be having a special announcement of a $10 a unit toxin. So they can come in anytime during the day. It's best if they do, obviously, an appointment so that they can make sure that they're able to be seen. But we're going to be doing $10 a unit toxin, too.
[00:01:22] Speaker B: That's exciting. We always are success with that when we do the $10 a unit.
[00:01:28] Speaker A: Yeah. And then I just got off of a call today with Jamercy, who is one of our practice success managers with Alastin, and she's going to be sending us the cutest little stadium bags. So we're going to be doing some promotions with our Alastin partners. So if they buy any two of our hero products, they get a product for free. And then they'll get that cute little clear bag, too, that I know everybody really loves to have when they go to the football games and everything, too.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: Will that be like, a certain amount that they have to spend?
[00:01:58] Speaker A: So if they purchase any two of the hero products. So that's nectar, restorative complex, the transform body, the vitamin c. So any of those hero products, they buy any two, and then they'll get a third one for free. And that's just going to help them build out their regimen so that they're ready to go with their skincare routine for the season.
[00:02:18] Speaker B: That's exciting.
[00:02:19] Speaker A: Yeah. So which toxin do you think is going to be the most popular for this $10 unit toxin day?
[00:02:29] Speaker B: I personally have grown to like the Daxify. I got it this last time for staff day, and I've noticed a very bigger difference as far as, like, glow to my skin since I did it. I'll be interested to see if it lasts as long as they say, just because typically Botox last about four months on me anyways with other toxins.
But I would like to see Daxify be a little bit more popular compared to the other toxins.
And like we did, a bunch of our staff on staff day with Botox will daxify? And I think that they have really enjoyed it so far. I noticed with my glabella area that it kicked in in about a day or two. Yeah, compared to, like, Zemin and I Botox.
[00:03:18] Speaker A: I agree. I felt like the night that I got injected with Daxi that I could already feel it starting to work. And the really cool thing about Daxify two, besides the fact that it has the peptides in it. So you're getting other benefits aside from just the relaxation of the muscles, is we can do what we call daxilite, which is going to be the equivalent of your normal dosing of Botox or ZMN or dysport or whatever toxin you get. Or we have a full Daxi, which is going to get you about double the duration that you would typically get from a standard dosing.
So I think that that's a really good option for people that know exactly what their pattern is and they want to have a little bit more longevity out of their toxin. That is something that we offer with the Daxify. And again, you're getting that great benefit of the peptide complex in it as well.
[00:04:09] Speaker B: I've noticed the last two weeks we've been using Daxify a little bit more recently. And, you know, now I can speak on it, too in the room now that I've had it. And Doctor Eason, I think she's grown to really, really like Daxify. She did it on herself about two weeks ago as well. And then it seems like Doctor Jody's starting to be a big fan of Daxify as well. So we'll see how long it lasts on all three of us.
[00:04:33] Speaker A: It's great too, especially like, if you're treating your masseters, you're just going to get a longer treatment result with it, with that as well. So what about facial services?
What's your favorite facial service?
[00:04:49] Speaker B: I really like the diamond glow. That's probably my favorite facial just because it exfoliates your entire skin and I have a really nice glow after.
I'm excited. I would like to try the glass facial that we have started offering now.
And you cannot go wrong with an ultrasound. Elite facial for as relaxation and exfoliating and, you know, tightening the skin as well. Doing all types of benefits in one facial.
But I think those are going to be our most popular for the season.
[00:05:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I love a diamond glow, too. So for the back to school special, the glass facial will be one of the options that they can choose from. The glass facial is actually a new service on our menu of services. It includes a dermaplaning. There is a 2% lactic pill. There's a custom sheet mask with the cryotherapy over it as well, a really nice facial massage. And that treatment takes 30 minutes. And the value of those three things that we include in it are more than $95. So it's a really great value. We've done a ton of them so far. Our clients are really enjoying it, especially if they're doing dermaplaning. Anyways, to add those additional aspects of that treatment into it has been really taking off.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: So, yeah, we've done a lot of those recently, and they seem we've had good feedback on it.
[00:06:13] Speaker A: Yeah, so it was really funny. I was talking to Mary Margaret. I saw this video, and it was talking about how men have all of these hobbies that are thrown out to them. Like, Sage is a big golfer, and he really likes to go bowling. And they have all of these hobbies for men to do. And women are always talking about how, like, they have activities or they'll do this or do that, but they don't really have any, like, set hobbies. And so I was like, skincare is a hobby. Getting facial services is a hobby. Taking care of your skin and enjoying the time coming to the spa is such a fun hobby for women.
[00:06:57] Speaker B: I feel like even also doing your skincare routine is part of that hobby.
[00:07:03] Speaker A: Right.
[00:07:04] Speaker B: And I have grown to love it just because you get the benefits. And when you start seeing the difference in your skin, it just makes it to where it's not a chore.
[00:07:13] Speaker A: It feels more like something you get to do that you're excited about, and then just, you know, like you said, the journey and educating yourself on the things that you're doing and why, and just making sure that you are doing everything that you can to the best of your ability to achieve those results. Especially having really great at home skincare that is clinically proven to give those efficacious results. Because we're thrown so many, many options, especially in skincare, that it's kind of hard to know the difference between what's gonna actually benefit your skin and what's not. And there's so many things that you think are good and they're a higher price point, but there's no clinical studies there's no white papers, there's no proof in the pudding that's actually gonna give the results that the claims are making that they do. And so that's one really good thing that I can say about Smartskin and what we're offering here is that every single skincare product that we have is science based and it's clinically proven. It is going to do exactly what we say it's going to do. So I can feel really good about making recommendations to our patients about skincare that's going to make a difference in their skin and know that I'm keeping them from making a purchase of something that's not going to have that same impact on their skin. So that was something that was really eye opening to me, especially when we had a dinner with our skin medica partners, when she really brought that to our attention and saying, here are some common skin care products that your patients are going out of your office and purchasing, and there's no studies, there's no data on it, and they are spending just as much, if not more, for those skincare products than what you guys are charging for it for a medically backed, like, science based skincare product.
[00:09:01] Speaker B: Well, even, like, speaking of skincare, even, you know, with me having my dermatology background, you know, it wasn't based around skin care, you know, more of skin exams, you know, skin cancers. So when I came here and we do all of these skin skincare trainings, it helps me to be able to provide feedback to our clients a little bit more in detail to where I can say, oh, yes, I do use this product. It does have all of these certain benefits. So I think it's awesome that we also do so many different trainings to where I know way more about the product than before I came here.
[00:09:37] Speaker A: Yeah. And I think it's good, too, that we do have such a big staff, that we do have people that are using every single product that we have. You know, you might have one or two using a specific type of products that we offer and then one or two that are using different ones. So between all 22 of us in the office, someone is using one of everything. So we can definitely, like, speak to the product and the results that they're getting and our experience with it. And that makes such a difference, because if you don't know what it's like to use that product and you don't have that knowledge of, like, what to expect from it and the results that we've seen ourselves, it's kind of hard to educate and get a patient excited about that skincare product if you're not excited about it yourself.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: Right.
[00:10:21] Speaker A: So between all of us, I think that that really gives us a leg up because we've experienced every service that we have. We've experienced every skincare product that we have. We're not just telling you to use something that we don't ourselves put into practice.
[00:10:36] Speaker B: Right.
[00:10:36] Speaker A: So I think that that makes a.
[00:10:38] Speaker B: Big difference, especially when we get to use it ourself.
[00:10:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:42] Speaker B: Cause I can speak on it a little bit more that way.
[00:10:45] Speaker A: Yeah. So we have some pretty exciting news that we are going to be opening up our second location in Hoover in mid October. It will be in Hoover. We're not going to disclose exactly where it is. Some people know, but we're not going to announce it, announce it quite yet. So definitely be looking out for that second location in Hoover.
We plan to really have some unique offerings, especially for our teenage clients at this location. Especially.
We will be carrying all of our skincare products at this location.
So we're excited to be offering two locations for our patients, and they can go to either one. We will also be offering a late night on Thursday nights there, and it will be six days a week as well. So we'll have lots of options of places where our clients can come and get their services with us. And we'll have an injector at both locations as well.
And so we also have semiglutide available for our patients to do either in person or virtual consultations. So, Peyton, walk me through a little bit about what the patient can expect if they want to get a consult with one of our physicians that offers semen glutide.
[00:12:03] Speaker B: So, like she said, we do virtual and in person. We typically, if the doctor, we have two injectors that can prescribe semiglutide, but we typically can get you in that day when you call. It's a very easy process.
We go over your past medical history and to see if you qualify for the medication. We use a pharmacy out in Atlanta that actually ships everything to you. You won't have to come to us if you want to come to us just because you're scared to give yourself the injection.
We can offer that as well. It's a very quick process. It's a four month commitment. After four months, you can either continue it or stop it. We've had great success with it. Even some of our employees have been on it, and they are looking very good.
[00:12:56] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, it's just instilling that confidence and helping them to feel better. Like, overall is overall health and wellness. It's really helped reduce inflammation. It's helped create better, healthier habits for their lifestyle. So it's definitely not going to be geared for somebody that just wants to lose five or ten pounds for an event. That's not what this is for. This is for someone who truly does qualify for semiglutide, that wants to make a healthy change and impact in their lives, that just simply can't do it on their own. And there is a pretty extensive process that Doctor Jody or Doctor Eason will make sure that you're a candidate for it. So we're definitely not just passing it out to anybody and everybody that wants it. So you do have to qualify for it, but it really is making a big impact for our patients, and they're really happy with it.
[00:13:50] Speaker B: Yeah. Not even just, like, the weight thing, but also, you know, we've had a couple of clients who have actually had some sort of type of autoimmune disorder as far as, like, rheumatology goes. And they are starting to have studies and noticing that it's helping, like you said, with inflammation in the body, which can be very hard on someone who has a certain type of autoimmune disorder.
[00:14:14] Speaker A: Right. Well, I mean, and speaking of people that have autoimmune disorders, our derma prpitive, I mean, I cannot say enough good things about the Derma PRP. I have personally had it twice now. I am obsessed with it.
I did the 11 ML kit. It's an equivalent of six syringes of filler. But the big, like, benefit of it is that it's going to create that angiogenesis, and there are not going to be any complications from it, and you're going to get a very natural effect, and it just really helps to promote healing in the skin. And so treating my under eyes and my tear troughs, dark circles, all of that is gone. I felt like I had some, like, inflammation in my cheek area. And I promise you the DermaPrP has resolved that completely. Like, none of that tightness in my cheeks are there anymore. From where it was, like, swollen and inflamed, it has really softened all that up. We treated my lips. I haven't had ha filler in my lips in a year and a half. We did, right in here, because I do get masseter toxin from clenching my jaw. And so it just really helped to kind of balance that out a little bit. But for somebody who has autoimmune, or they just don't want ha or they want something. Yeah. This is just such a great alternative for them. And it's going to. The swelling and healing process of it is, like, so fast.
[00:15:46] Speaker B: You can't really get as natural as that either. That certain product, it's really. I wouldn't even like to even consider it filler just because it's your own body.
[00:15:55] Speaker A: Right.
[00:15:56] Speaker B: Producing its own collagen once again. So we've had a lot of success with the Derma PRP. I think it's a great product. It's become one of my favorite products to assist with on clients. I've seen a huge difference with the under eyes, especially, like, dark circles, wrinkles, volume. Like, it's a very natural, subtle.
[00:16:16] Speaker A: Well, just a refreshing look overall rejuvenation. And then, like, I can't wait to see it paired with even skin vet. It's not even considered a filler. It is a skin treatment. So it actually upregulates your body's natural ability to create hyaluronic acid. And so getting that extra hydration and doing that, like, once every six months and then doing the derma PRP together, like, beautiful.

So anything else that you're excited about in the next few months coming up?
[00:17:00] Speaker B: I am excited about the other location. Yeah, I live in Hoover.
[00:17:05] Speaker A: I know half of our staff is.
[00:17:06] Speaker B: Like, I'm going to Hoover, but it'll be a nice change just for. I feel like there's a lot of high school students over in that area, so I think it'll bring in more of a younger clientele over there, which I think is exciting because we can educate them at a younger age.
[00:17:21] Speaker A: Right.
[00:17:21] Speaker B: Typically, people don't think of to start that at such a young age, unless you're my kids. Right. But had I started it sooner, I would have loved to have started it sooner, but, you know, I think that's a. Probably one of the most exciting things I'm excited about. But also, it just seems like every few months there's something new coming out as far as filler and facials and lasers. So I'm always excited to see and even try, you know, that way I can educate people on that as well.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Yeah, I mean, I feel like at smart skin, we're always, like, reinventing ourselves and coming up with new things, and we're researching the latest, greatest in technology. And, like, one of our other new services that we put together is, is called the filter facial. And that's a combination of diamond glow luminous, or skin pen, and the laser genesis. And we've had a few people do that already, and they are, like, go crazy over their results. So I'm really excited about the winter months coming up and having more patients doing some of those treatments, too.
[00:18:25] Speaker B: Yeah, and a lot more like ipls, you know, you can't do those in the summer. So, yeah, it's nice to see people walking out with a smile on their face, you know, just because of, like, hyper, hyperpigmentation and, you know, brown spots on their face. So it'll be kind of nice to see that as well.
[00:18:43] Speaker A: Well, and now that we have the skin scanner, too, and, like, don't forget to ask to get the skin scan done so that way we can treat, you know, track your progress with it. But being able to track the progress and seeing all of that is really exciting.
So I'm really looking forward to seeing our patients and the results that they're going to be getting, especially over the winter months when we can really, like, dig in deep.
[00:19:10] Speaker B: And I'll be excited also to see, like, doing my skin, like, my skin test along with some of the other employees from start to finish as far as a process through the skin ve process, so we can see if, like, how much we're increasing in moisture.
[00:19:28] Speaker A: Right.
[00:19:29] Speaker B: So I think that'll be exciting to see with our big staff that we have.
[00:19:33] Speaker A: I know, so, and another thing, too, is we do have our smart scan rewards app. So just make sure that whenever you check in at the front desk, you go ahead and scan that QR code to check in. So that's really cool.
